Johanna Fox CPA Announces New Licensee MAYFIELD, KENTUCKY – Johanna Fox CPA, Inc. is pleased to announce that Paul Bell has recently passed a series of four exams qualifying him to receive his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Bell serves as Managing Accountant at Johanna Fox CPA. He received his BA in Accounting from Murray State University in 2002. Prior to joining Johanna Fox CPA, Mr. Bell worked as a Staff Accountant at Thurman, Campbell & Co., in Hopkinsville. Mr. Bell serves as an Ambassador for the Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of its Leadership Class of 2007. He lives in Murray with his wife, Lisa.

Johanna Fox CPA Participates in St. Jude's Fundraiser Johanna Fox CPA was a proud sponsor in the recent St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital's Dreamhome Givewaway and Fundraiser. Many sponsors donated items which were given away during a 2-hour telethon that aired on WPSD-TV Channel 6 on Sunday, July 29, 2007. Johanna Fox CPA of Mayfield, KY, donated a Dell laptop computer and new QuickBooks Pro 2007 financial software valued at $1,000. The telethon culminated in the giveaway of the dream home valued at $275,000 for which 7,000 tickets were sold at $100 each. Johanna, Paul, James and Lynda watched the telethon from the WPSD-TV studios, and Paul and James pulled the name of the lucky winner of the computer live on the air!

Johanna Fox Turner Attends Annual Estate Planning Institute MAYFIELD KY - Johanna Fox Turner CPA/CFS, CFP® recently attended the 34th Annual Midwest/Midsouth Estate Planning Institute at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The Institute addressed new developments in estate planning, legislative updates, business succession, employee benefits, and education savings plans. Ms. Turner said, "I go to this conference on a regular basis because it's critical for us to stay on top of legal change and trends when it comes to estate planning." Ms. Turner also attended a Pre-Institute on Kentucky Estate Administration and Fiduciary Law. She added, "It amazes me how many people don't realize that estate planning is more than just drafting a will." |

Johanna Fox CPA Hosts its First Lunch 'n' Learn The team at Johanna Fox CPA welcomed Kim Brand of Graves County Child Advocacy Services for a noon-time Lunch 'n' Learn. Kim discussed the role Graves County Child Advocacy plays in the region and explained how they get involved in domestic cases at the court's request to assist with the best interests of children. Everyone enjoyed lunch from Subway. We thank Kim for the opportunity to learn more about the good work of Graves County Child Advocacy Services.

New Commercials Air for Johanna Fox CPA Monday, August 14 marked the first day of airing for the first of two new television commercials produced by Johanna Fox CPA, Inc. A "testimonial" ad featuring clients Kelli and Shawn Hoover of Atlas Equipment Services began airing on WPSD - Paducah. Today begins the airing of the QuickBooks training class commercial.
